Hey guys,

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate everybody taking time out of their days to inquire about the future of the checklists or even just to let me know that the lists were appreciated – it always brightens my day to hear that someone out there had a better experience with the Mass Effect games because of my lists!

And now the elephant in the room, the Mass Effect 3 list. I wish I had better news than “not right now,” but that’s where it stands. It’s something I’d like to do, but at the moment it’s a goal for the not long-term, not short-term. Middle-term? It’s on my list of projects, but it’s not at the top of the list. I’ve been getting quite a few e-mails recently about it, and I promise I do read them all (even if I don’t always respond right away) – as always, this blog is the best place to check for updates, though. If there’s nothing new here, there’s no need to e-mail me asking.

Thanks again for your understanding, and I promise – the first thing I’ll do when the list is significantly underway is post here, so check back if that’s something you’d be interested in.

So I’m still not 100% committed to a checklist, but like I said, it’s looking likely. I’m playing around with layouts still, but at least some of it is starting to come together.

I’d like to address a few comments I’ve received, specifically about the ending of Mass Effect 3 – this is not the forum for discussion of that topic. I understand there are strong feelings, and I do have feelings of my own, but this isn’t the place to discuss them. BioWare has an official thread on the BioWare Social Network looking for change advice.

Let’s keep the discussion here applicable to the list, spoiler-free, and fair to everyone.

On another topic entirely, Narida has created a nifty checklist for the multiplayer portion of Mass Effect 3, and I’ve gotta say that I’m a fan.

Hope everyone is enjoying Mass Effect 3. I finished my first playthrough a few days ago, and I’ll confess – I don’t yet know where I stand on the checklist.

I took notes as I played, and I’ve been updating, correcting and amending during my slower-paced New Game + playthrough. At this very moment, I’ve got my notebook open and I’ve been toying with list layouts and trying to figure out what information to convey on the list and how to set it all up in a way that doesn’t take up a bajillion sheets and flows better than my list for Mass Effect 2 did. As of yet, I’m not 100% decided if I’m moving forward with this, but it’s safe to say it’s looking likely. Just don’t get your hopes up quite yet.

So I’ve been getting quite a few e-mails asking about my plans for Mass Effect 3.

All I can say is I’m going to wait until I actually finish the game before deciding. So I appreciate the e-mails, but as it is right now – my answer is still we’ll see. I will let you guys know when I do!

I’m getting sporadic reports of people being unable to access the checklists today. I can’t find anything wrong on my end, so there could be some server wonkiness going on. If you can, try a different browser or machine. If not, just try and be patient, and if you still have a problem in an hour or so, please let me know. I’ll update if I see anything or something changes!

Mass Effect 3 is currently less than 3 weeks away, and the demo is dropping today. Quite a few people have been asking me whether I plan to do a checklist for ME3, or whether I plan on revising my first two lists with the ME3 connections.

As of right now, I can’t say. I’m going to wait until I actually play the game, and see how it’s structured, before I decide one way or another. I’d like to, but as of right now, my answer is a very firm… maybe!

Either way, I’ll post here when I’ve decided, so stay tuned!

And it’s out, fixed, tweaked, and containing the Arrival content!

Got quite a bit of response for my request to beta test the 1.7 list, so I’m going to cap it there. Big thanks to everyone who’s expressed interest and everyone who has already sent me corrections and thoughts, I really appreciate your help.

Now to finish it off and get it all PDFed…

I have a beta version of my Mass Effect 2 Galactic Checklist version 1.7 up and running. I’m looking for a few people who are willing to go over it, make sure things are correct and everything is hunky-dory.

As of right now, here’s the changelist from the previous version:

- Added the Arrival quest, upgrades and planets
- Discounts added where applicable
- Weapons stats table corrected and updates as appropriate
- Minor errors fixed!

If you’re interested, shoot me an e-mail and let me know, and I’ll get the file to you. Please note – the beta version is not an interactive PDF. I’ll deal with the interactive form fields when it’s time for the final release.
